Dj Yaeli [Yael Levin] is a female music powerhouse based in Tel Aviv known to keep the dancing audience on the dance floor for hours.
Emerging from the artistic Tel Aviv underground dance scene, “A House Of Her Own” was Yaeli’s first published track. It is a loving homage to house music, reclaiming the term “Jack” by referencing the classic “In the beginning there was Jack” speech and giving it a feminine twist; Virginia Wolf does Chicago.
Shot inside one of Tel Aviv’s leading underground clubs, Alphabet, the video is dedicated to a classic moment every devoted clubber knows so well - the last moments of a party, when you decide to leave but the DJ keeps you dancing for just one more song. Feeding on this emotional ground, the video transcends the club into an experimental contemporary dance arena.
My key responsibilities were the direction of the video shoot, casting of actors and venue, as well as the creative production of all set- and graphic design slides for the music video. Big love to the Alphabet Club, Tel Aviv. R.I.P
